الخلاصة
This work was conducted to study the capability of three algae namely: Chlorella vulgaris , Scendesmus quadriacuda and Nitzscjia palea to reduce some pollutant concentration from wastewater of Hilla textile industry such as nitrite , nitrate , active phosphorus and sulphate. In addition the ability of these algae to reduce calcium and magnesium hardness causes total hardness and color reduce. The result showed that Chlorella vulgaris gave the best result than other algae, and recorded 76%, 84% reduce of nitrite and nitrate consequently during the 10th day of treatment was achieved, 85% of reactive phosphate, 47% sulphate. The ability of this algae on removing alkalinity was 65% and of total hardness 36%. While Ca+2 and Mg+2 reduce was 47%, 33% during 8th day of treatment 68% removed of electrical conductivity and salinity and 57% removed of color. Lower capability to remove nitrite and nitrate was shown by S. quadricauda, which 66% and 79% consequently, 75% of reactive phosphate at 10th day and 42% of sulphate at 7th day of treatment. The alkalinity was reduced to 59% and 30% of total hardness also calcium and magnesium hardness removed to 42%, 30% of 8th day of treatment, 55% reduce of electrical conductivity and salinity 54% removed of color at 9th day of treatment. The ability of Nitzschia palea to remove nitrite and nitrate was as low as 14%, 24% at 9th, 6th day consequently. 76% of reactive was removed during the five days of treatment also 17% of sulphate at 10th day. The alkalinity was reduced to 36% and 14% of total hardness both of them on 10th day. While reduce percentage was low 31% Ca+2 and 8% Mg+2. 21% removed of electrical conductivity and salinity as well 25% removed of color at 8th day of treatment. Using mixed culture of (C. vulgaris and S. quadricauda), (C. vulgaris and N. palea) and (S. quadricauda and N. palea) also mixture showed low coefficient comparably unialgal culture in unsterilized waste water. When bimass of algae was Concerned C. vulgaris showed the highest growth rate (0.252) and doubling time which was (28.66) hr, during the second day for unsterilized wastewater. N. palea gave average of growth rate was (0.180) with fourth day and (0.279) second day for unterilized, storizied waste water consequently. Doubling (40.13) hr, (25.89) hr consequently. Water samples were collected monthly for water and phytoplankton from march 2005 till February 2006. the result showed that water temperature ranged between (737 – 21)oC. EC vales recorded (1297 – 2030)Ms/cm. the salinity ranged between (830 – 1299)ppt. pH levels were on the
